Coffee with neighbors

The word neighbor comes from the old english word "nay" meaning near and "bour" meaning to dwell. Therefore neighbors are your "near dwellers".  As you make the daily decision whether to drink your coffee or tea at home or with neighbors at the shop. Consider three benefits to enjoying coffee or tea at the shop, rather than drinking it at home. 

First, you can develop friendships with the shops baristas and associates.  Friendships built on a functional purpose such as sharing delicious coffee or tea can be enjoyed and may endure a lifetime.  Get to know the Bloom Baristas by name and your experience of enjoyment is only enhanced, as you can give candid feedback and learn how they serve you with care.

Secondly, you can meet people from the local area that you may not otherwise meet.  What a great opportunity to meet the other people in your area and establish some new relationships.  Really, how does anyone get to know anyone?  You have to reach out and say, "hello" in some way, ideally in person.  There is something about looking people in the eyes versus an on-line introduction (will save that for another discussion).

Thirdly, if you don't like the food or the drink for any reason, you simply tell the Bloom Barista, which you hopefully know by name, that you are dissatisfied, and we will make you a new one to your liking.

Chicago – Navy Pier

Bloom encourages education as well as vacation/relaxation, this national coffee trade show will accomplish all three.  Chicago's Navy Pier is where the event is being held which is right on beautiful lake Michigan.   The Coffee fest trade shows are done 3 times annually in NY, Chicago and Seattle.  The NY fest is in March 2013 and the  Seattle fest is September 21 -23 2012.
